June

When summer came into town, so did the kings of the season! The summer tours were flowing and big named artists dropped by with their gargantuan productions and equally gigantic talents. We can’t mention the month of June without saying the name of country superstar Morgan Wallen’s astounding tour One Night at a Time first. He pretty much conquered the month with a three-night extravaganza. Yes, this country phenom happened to fully packed the 20,000 capacity venue all the way to the back three times! Having released the biggest hit of the summer, “I Had Some Help,” with Post Malone, Wallen delivered a high caliber showdown up to 24 songs. Besides his brilliant collaborative hit, Wallen also belted out even bigger country singles, “Last Night,” “Cow Girls,” “Lies, Lies, Lies,” and tons more.

Speaking of country icons, the month also packed in fellow purveyors like Tyler Childers, Brooks and Dun, and the ever so legendary Willie Nelson who brought in his monster of a tour, the Outlaw Music Festival. This yearly bonanza featured a stunning line-up including Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, and Allison Kraus. When you’ve got three Rock and Roll Hall of Famers all performing on the same night, you know you had to be there. If you missed out, we feel sorry for ya! Besides country stars, the month also brought in Grammy winning rapper 21 Savage, Grammy winning jam band Dave Matthews Band, and Grammy winning rock band and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

July

As the climate got hotter, so did the performances. And boy, the month of July was absolutely fire! The showdowns were plentiful and highly diverse – we’re talking live orchestra with film, throwback rock ragers, a female led R&B festival, the return of country music’s bad boy, and a 2000s esque headbang worthy bonanza. You betcha July was exhilarating as hell and piping hot performances were courtesy of might awesome names like Jason Aldean and Sam Hunt. On which one is the bad boy of country, we think it’s a tie. Barbie the Movie in Concert offered something incredibly unique – a brilliant orchestra ensemble accompanied by a viewing of the film.

As for the throwback rager, 90s rock sensations Third Eye Blind teamed up with 2000s powerhouse Yellowcard and Arizona for Summer Gods Tour. The triple threat spectacle delivered an earth shattering show that will be talked about for months and years to come. Speaking of ground shaking moments, Slightly Stoopid and Dirty Heads definitely had everyone jumping all at the same time – so indeed, Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater was shaking profusely throughout the month of July. But thankfully, this establishment was specifically designed to handle moments like these.
